Data Driven Decision Making (Virtual)

Designed for instructional leaders, the Data Driven Decision Making trainings will support instructional planning from summative assessments through formative assessments to support daily instruction. Sessions will build upon each other from accessing granular data from the California Educator Reporting System or CERS, connecting the data to assessment blueprints, and develop a thoughtful and deliberate formative assessment system for the new school year.  Resources from the Smarter Balanced Ecosystem that connect to the focus areas will be shared and utilized.  Research based data analysis routines will be utilized during this process to support student learning and outcomes.

Designed for instructional leaders, the Universal PreKindergarten (UPK) Collaborative Network will support the planning and implementation of UPK by including strategies to build the capacity of all staff and leadership of local educational agencies (LEAs). Sessions will align with 21CSLA professional development offerings and will also include focus areas from California Department of Education (CDE), the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), and the P3 National Network. Research-based methodologies and instructional practices will serve as the foundation of Network sessions to ensure that all LEA teams are prepared to meet the needs of young learners. UDL 101

Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is called out in every content area framework and also in MTSS, as a way the work of “All means all” can come to life. Sessions will be facilitated by Elisa Torres-Barton, FCSS Executive Leadership Coach & CAST UDL Implementation Specialist.
